Can I reserve a party at The Castle?

Yes! Both locations have a suitable space for private parties. However please note that business will still be running as usual. Reserve the space with us free of charge and buy your drinks from the bar. Loud music and dancing are not possible, keep in mind that we are a Bar and not a Club. Reservations in the Beer Garden are not possible, please come without reserving.

Can I make a reservation for the weekly quiz on Mondays & Wednesdays?


We start taking bookings for the quiz teams at 10 am on Monday (Mitte) or Wednesday (Friedrichshain) morning to avoid late cancellations. Get in there quick to avoid disappointment. The quiz starts at 7.30pm so we can finish promptly by 10 pm. We only take bookings through the website NOT via Facebook or phone.


Do you serve food?


The Castle doesn't have a kitchen, however, we do offer pastries and sweet treats throughout the day. All guests are welcome to bring their own food or even order in take away food. For larger bookings, you are more than welcome to organize your own catering to be delivered to bar. we do have some pop-up events please check our facebook events for that MITTE or FRIEDRICHSHAIN


Is there a maximum or minimum amount of people required for reservations?


We take bookings from as few as 2 people to maximum 50ppl in Mitte and 100ppl in Friedrichshain. For smaller bookings, we reserve suitable tables or sofa areas. For larger bookings, we can reserve whole areas of the bar.

Can I reserve in the Beer Garden in Mitte?

In the Summertime, we get a lot of reservations asking to be seated outside. unfortunately, it is hard for us to take Reservations for small Groups (Under 30p) since our staff members are serving inside and can´t always see if a Reservations sign had been moved or removed by someone else. if you´re planning a bigger Party or Event please let us know about it. åå

Yes! We can take bookings for up to 120 people in the upstairs space. however if your group is smaller, keep in mind that other reservations can be made in the room upstairs.

Do you have table service?

The bar runs with a self-service format. All drinks are to be ordered with our friendly team at the bar and bills can be settled with them. See below for details on payment.



The bar staff is more than happy to set up a tab for your group so one payment can be made at the end. If you have a budget you can let the staff know when to notify you as you near the limit. Your group would be assigned to a table number so your friends can add to the tab throughout the night. If you'd like to limit the guest to a maximum amount of drinks each, we can count out vouchers that you can give to each guest at your discretion and can be exchanged at the bar for drinks. Alternatively, you can pay as you go for each drink you buy.


All outstanding tabs must be paid at the end of the night. Bills, receipts and expense receipts can be printed upon payment or even emailed to you.


Do you take Card Payments?


We accept all EC and credit cards, except for American Express. The minimum spend to pay on card is 5€.


Do you have a quieter area for more intimate bookings or meetings?


We use a Sonos system to play music throughout the bar. Every area of the bar has its own speaker which can be made quieter by the bar staff if you ask. The closer to the bar you Sit, usually the louder the atmosphere around you. So you can request certain areas for your booking and where possible we will aim to give you the space most suitable for the type of booking.

“I lost my coat” Do you have lost and found?


A lot of coats and other personal items get left behind in the bar. The best solution is to swing by the bar in person as soon as possible and ask the team if something has been handed in. Calling us won´t help much, sorry.
